Many a times I have thought of this word,
Of its meanings and of its curses.
But few times have I discovered its truths:
We surrender for renewal,
Releasing the strongholds that trap the mind.
We surrender for love,
Submitting to the silken threads that bind two
Together as one.
But what if we change to surrender in likeness.
Indeed, positive, lasting change takes a surrendering of ones ways to embrace the abstract—the unknown and undefined in the mind of the seeker. But the heart, in the eyes of truth and the veins of passion, lays love, the melding of two souls. For when two growing individuals agree upon change, upon the renewal of their minds, and upon love, then they surrender, becoming one and eternal.
